Pennsylvania Announces $6.6M in New Grants

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell announced a total of $6.6 million in federal grants designed to support life science industry work force development in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.

The grants include $5.1 million in funding from the US Department of Labor and a $1.5 million advanced manufacturing grant for the biotech sector.

The grants were awarded to the Delaware Valley Innovation Network, which is a collaboration of business, government, education and work force leaders in 13 counties.
